From the Chaplains
The inspiration and motivation underlying care at Mill Creek is the vision to provide holistic care in a Christian manner and environment that reflects the unconditional love and compassion of God. Spiritual and religious care is an important aspect of the total care. No matter our beliefs we all are spiritual beings, and addressing the spiritual supports enhances the resident’s overall well-being.
We believe that each resident must be treated with dignity, respect and acceptance. Each resident has the right to pursue their spiritual and religious interests, to practice their specific religious rites, and to be supported in their personal beliefs. The Spiritual Care Program will offer both denominational and interdenominational services and programs.
We involve the resident, the staff, the volunteer, the family and the faith community in providing spiritual and religious care. We at Mill Creek are committed to providing reasonable provisions to accommodate the religious pursuits of the residents. Chaplaincy staff will be involved in the care plans of the residents, the development and delivery of programs and contact with families and community.
In times of adjustment to a new setting, in times of change, uncertainty and crises chaplaincy seeks to provide residents with the resources of their faith and beliefs to provide reassurance and support.
